Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting - HLTAID004

On 1 January 2012, the 'National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care' commenced. It has been introduced across Australia to help children have the best possible start in life. Under the Education and Care Services National Law ACECQA must publish a list of approved First Aid qualifications including: Provide First Aid, Provide CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Management of Asthma training.

Our course includes all first aid units in the one certificate from the ACECQA qpproved list, and complies with Childcare first aid regulations. In this training you will understand how to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults in an education and care setting. These also include Asthma and Anaphylaxis emergencies.

Topics Include:

  • Performing CPR on Realistic Adult, Child and Infant Manikins
  • Using a Defibrillator (AED) and Understanding its Operation in Realistic Scenarios
  • Completion of Incident / Injury, Trauma and Illness Record

Also Includes first aid procedures such as:

  • Allergic Reactions
  • Burns
  • Bleeding
  • Choking
  • Convulsions / Seizures
  • Envenomation
  • Fractures
  • Poisoning
  • Shock and more!

Delivery Method:

We can come to your workplace (minimum of 8 for onsite group bookings) or you can attend one of our training venues around Sydney


We offer a flexible learning method which allows you to study in your own time via an online workbook prior to the face to face training day (7 - 8 hours delivery)

Course times are 9.00am - 4.30pm


You will receive a Statement of Attainment in Provide and Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting, plus a A5 Glossy First Aid Guide

Statement of Attainment's provided in association with ABC Licence Training RTO No: 3399

Certificate Validity:

Certificates are valid for 3 years, although it is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council that the Provide CPR unit be refreshed every 12 months.
